Woonhave acquires 113 rental homes in De Faam, Breda

Woonhave has signed a purchase agreement for 113 rental homes in De Faam, a new urban development in Breda. The acquisition comprises 80 mid-market rental apartments and 23 private-sector rental apartments in the Droptoren, as well as 10 private-sector rental homes and a communal space.

Over the coming years, the site of the former confectionery factory on Liniestraat will be transformed into a new urban neighbourhood comprising a total of 625 homes and commercial amenities. De Faam is being developed by Faam Fijn Fantastisch, a joint venture between Synchroon and Stebru, and has been designed by Havermans Architecten.

The development will retain elements of the site’s industrial heritage, including its distinctive chimney, while the architecture will feature subtle references to De Faam’s confectionery past.

With the acquisition in De Faam, Woonhave further expands its development pipeline and continues to invest in high-quality rental homes and attractive, liveable neighbourhoods.

Woonhave was advised on the acquisition by Houthoff and bouAd.

Construction of the Droptoren is expected to start in the first quarter of 2027, with completion scheduled for summer 2029.
